Distress Inks Shelves

My DH has been away for a week, so I've had the whole week to myself and decided to get on to some of the projects that I have had on the back burner. I've had some things that I've collected from Garage sales that I saw a new purpose for.

The first one is the old spice shelf unit which looked just right for my Distress Inks, which I need to have right beside me at all times while I'm creating, so here is the result, I'm really happy with it and it works beautifully on my desk.

BROKEN CHINA AND WILD HONEY DISTRESS INK BACKGROUNDS

On Thursday this week, I am teaching "Flag Books" to a class and so I've been very busily making an extra couple of quite different samples to inspire the girls in the class. I have also made small Flag Books in the past, but this size would be perfect as a gift for a friend, a special birthday or a wedding, it is 6" x 8". It was shown to me by Janice Keene in Brisbane at the Stamping Marathon a couple of years ago. I am using one as my gift on the One World One Heart post, pictures of this one are a couple of posts down. In case you can't already guess, I LOVE those Distress Ink backgrounds.

READY STEADY STAMP

Here is a card that I have done for the challenge on Ready Steady Stamp for this fortnight. I have used all of the elements mentioned in the challenge and may use a similar design on some of my Christmas cards, minus the snowflakes as we don't have any snow here and Christmas is the middle of the long hot Summer.
